On October 5th, 1958 at Nevski racetrack in thosedays Leningrad the very first Estonia formula car rolled over the start line. Designed by Ants Seiler ja built in Tallinn Vehicle Repair Factory No 1, it was so fast, that a new absolute lap record was achieved on its debut.
Soon next models followed the very first Estonia-1 formula car and within few years most of Soviet Union racing scene adapted to Estonia singleseaters.
1985 marked the fabrication of 1000th Estonia formula car (model Estonia 21-10) and the factory TARK had reached absolute pinnacle in world racing car production – only Lola had those days prodused more single seater racing cars.
During almost half a century TARK (later rebranded KAVOR) made alltogether 1331 single seater formula cars – 26 differents main models with 40 evolutions.
Even today it is estimated that in terms of total porduction volume TARK/Kavor has a honourable place in all-time TOP6 single seater formula cars manufactures.
Ants Seiler scholarship
In 2009, a sub-fund was established under the SA Estonian National Culture Fund by the employees of the former Tallinn Auto Repair Factory with the aim of supporting automotive students or young engineers who have outstanding achievements in the field of motor sports, designing and improving racing equipment, and popularizing motor sports.

Moments to remember
The Formula Historic Estonia series contains several honorable traditions.
Once a year, usually at Estonian Grand Prix, the Ants Seiler trophy is awarded to the Formula Estonia pilot who has completed the fastest lap during the racing weekend in Estonia .
In 2024 the cup was presented to the winner by Mr. Uno Aava, recently named as the Estonian motorsport person of the 20th century.
Annual federation trophy
Estonian Autosport Federation presents annually one pilot with traveling cup dedicated to the memory of Ants Seiler.
According to the statute, it is awarded to the best nationwide single-seater formula car pilot on the international scene.
